Your Go-To Guide for ALL Things “Personality Minis”

As I was looking ahead to the new year, I was trying to think of a fun way to kickstart the year… then I thought, why don’t we bring back the “Personality Minis” since they are super fun, exciting, and aren’t too serious. It’s after the holidays and we’re all trying to decompress from all the madness, so why not take a minute to let the little ones be silly and be themselves!

The personality minis are meant to be light-hearted and fun; they’re supposed to welcome laughter and personality; and they’re to welcome every little one's individuality. This is also a time for you (as parents) to just enjoy the moment and be stress-free!

As you prepare for this photo session, keep in mind that this will only be a 10-minute session and we will only be featuring one-backdrop so that way we optimize the time that we have and can focus on the photos. 10-minutes is usually plenty of time to capture these photos and we will also be adding in props and accessories that the children can use during the photo session so there is a variety of options for you to choose from.

Also, I wanted to provide you with a quick Q&A of commonly asked questions for these types of sessions. Hopefully this will answer any question that you have, but if not, please don’t hesitate to reach out and ask me anything!

Q: What should the children wear to the photo session?

A: There is no particular “dress code” that we have in mind for this photo session, but in previous years we have had kids wear t-shirts, button-up shirts, dresses, collared shirts, athleisure wear, etc. It’s totally up to your preference and how you would like the photos to look. To help, the backdrop that we will be using for these photos will be a white color and will be “high key” which will have a bright white backdrop appearance and prints so nice as black and white as well!

Q: Can siblings be included in the photo session?

A: Absolutely! If you’re wanting to add an additional child to the photo session, there is a small up-charge, but that will also include two (2) additional high-resolution edited images for you to choose from in the end. You can add as many children as you want, but keep in mind that the sessions won’t be able to be extended beyond the 10-minutes provided.

Q: Can we purchase more than the 5-high resolution photos provided at the end of the session?

A: Of course! Once the photos are completed, you will then have the option to purchase additional digital images along with any products listed on our virtual store.

Q: What should I do if my child(ren) is sick the day of the mini session?

A: If you, your child, or anyone in your household has gotten sick leading up to the photo session, please reach out and let me know. I would happily reschedule your photo session as I want you to prioritize you and your families health, but we also don't want to jeopardize anyone else's health either. If you notify me that you or your family have become ill, we will work to reschedule your mini session for another day!

Q: How soon after the photo session should I anticipate the photos to be returned?

A: You can expect to have your photos returned to you within 2 weeks after the photo session.

I am SOOO excited for these mini sessions and can’t wait to see you all! Don’t worry, we have plenty of other mini sessions planned for the year, so if you weren’t able to reserve a spot for these minis, we have plenty more for you to look forward to.

And as always, if you wanted a spot and don’t see an opening, reach out to me as most of my clients know I will try and squeeze you in on the mini session day or an alternative day :)

See you soon!
